Intimate Garden Wedding in Huntsville’s Historic District

Here in the great state of Alabama everyone is buzzing about Alabama’s Bicentennial year. Not going to lie I had to google it. You can read a little bit more about it here if you would like. Basically, the state of Alabama is turning 200! Happy Birthday Alabama! Officially, Alabama’s birthday is December 14, 1819 but the state has been celebrating since 2017. That is my kind of party! This has been a great reason for a lot of the historic buildings to get a face lift. I mean if you’re 200 what’s a little nip and a tuck 😉

We are so thrilled to be able to feature Caroline Robinson and Rob Boswell’s wedding because it was right in the heart of Huntsville where a lot of the Bicentennial buzz is happening. Be sure to check out The Historic Weeden House and the surrounding area that includes Early Works Family of Museums and Alabama Constitution Hall Park & Museum. For now we hope that you can enjoy these photos by Jamie Leigh Miller as much as we did!

Caroline and Rob had their ceremony at Constitution Hall, which is actually a remake of a historic square – they were the first wedding there since it was renovated! The reception was held at the beautiful historic Weeden House Museum – so much charm and character and an amazing spiral staircase! In the backyard they had a breathtaking flower arch and tables under strings of lights. Such a perfect location for an intimate wedding.
