Not your Grandmother’s Bridal Shoot

Who can remember the Sunday paper where you flipped open the wedding section to find several pages of glowing brides in their wedding dresses? Most of the photos showed the bride posed much like traditional high school senior drape photos. Below her photo would have all the details about parents and where the wedding would be. Today it is a bit different..a social media post is usually a bride’s go to to get the word out about life events.

However, one thing is for sure, every bride loves the opportunity to announce and show off wedding photos. So when photographer Sara Langan from Crimson and Clover Photography sent over this beautiful/sexy bridal style shoot I thought it would be the perfect inspiration for our Hometown Brides.

For starters, what a great idea to do a bridal shoot. It is the perfect time for the hair and make-up trial. Not to mention a way to make sure that everything is going to work together from jewelry to undergarments. And let’s face it, you should put that dress on as much as you want 🙂 Enjoy getting to be in the dress that you have spent so much time dreaming about.

So what makes this particular shoot a little different is the is part boudoir photography. What a great time to create a one year anniversary gift for your spouse. Or if you are feeling like a Kardashian go ahead and get a huge print of yourself for your hallway in your new home.

If you are on a limited budget and can’t spring for the extra cost of a bridal shoot, carving out 30 minutes with your photographer on your big day (somewhere private) is a great way to still have some sexy bridal portraits. Another plus of a wedding day bridal shoot is that you will have your flowers from your special day.

What is so awesome about being a bride now is that there are so many ways to get creative with some bridal photos. So go out there, get sexy, trash that dress, or run through a field of sunflowers. It is your day, make some amazing memories!!
